In the interest of exploration we went out to taste some Cannibis Indica.
While basically a Sativa man (one of my novels is titled Lady Sativa) i'm always grateful for the full body armor of a bold Indica. It's especially soothing for stiffness and stomache ailments.
Our first stop was the venerable Hope Net Co-Op at 223 ninth street off Howard, here in San Francisco.
The club is one of the first and best of our local dispensaries and has a relaxed vibe and good selection. The Indica we chose is called Mendocino Madness and proved to be an
outstanding value at $10 a gram. At that price i thought it might be shake but MM is all tight
buds with a warm, friendly high that curls up beside you like a big shaggy dog. It has a long, easy arc and is relatively light on the munchies.
Speaking of munchies Hope Net also features some tempting edibles including small jars of honey.
If Mendocino Madness is like stepping into a cozy truck on a rainy night Blackberry Kush is like driving a Cadillac with a good radio. One of Grass Roots' top-shelf strains, its big, billowy presence keeps rolling on. BK is notably light on the throat perhaps due to organic soil from which it sprang. At $60 an eighth it is a tad pricey but a little goes far into the distance.
Grass Roots is located at 1077 Post Street, San Francisco.
Later that night, enjoying a glass of Well Red organic wine (Trader Joes) and sipping a sassy thin J of Jackpot (see previous post) i realized why i'm into Sativa. I prefer to be high as opposed to stoned. But i'm grateful for the yin/yang of this herb that gives us so much.
